Ryan Licata is a writer of crime fiction and short stories. He was born in South Africa in the town of Benoni. He graduated from the University of Cape Town and later earned an MFA at Kingston University, London, where he received the 2013 MFA Prize. He holds a PhD from the University of Edinburgh. He presently lives in Italy.
